ENGLISH

SELF- ASSESSMENT.

Now I can understand better when someone speak with me, the thing that like more are doing projects. I think that I do well the grammatic and I confused about translation. Outside class I go to english class, do homeworks, study and parctise. I need to improve the translation and vocabulary. About culture I learnt the history of Marco Polo.

GLOSSARY OF MARCO POLO

GUEST: a person who spends some time at another's home in a social activity, as a visit or party.
RAISED: look after.
THREAD: a thin, fine cord of fiber spun out to great length.
WEAVING: to lace together (threads, strands, etc.) so as to form a fabric.
WORSHIP: reverence for God, a sacred personage, or a sacred object.

ARMED ROBBER: a robbery in which the robber is armed with a dangerous weapon.
MUGGER:  one who assaults a person in order to rob him or her.
TRAFFIC WARDEN: a person who is appointed to supervise road traffic and report traffic offences.
BLACKMAIL: an act of frightening someone into making a payment of money, as by revealing secrets.
DRUG-DEALING: a person that makes money selling illegal recreational drugs.
FORGERY: the crime of falsely making or changing writing or a signature.
MUGGING: an assault or threat of violence upon a person with intent to rob.
SMUGGLING: to convey (goods) secretly and illegally into or out of a country.

AMUSING: causing to laugh.
ANNOYING: irritating.
UPSETTING: tending to disturb.
WORRYING: to feel or be uneasy or anxious.
PLUG IN: able to be connected by means of a plug.
UPDATE: to bring up to date; incorporate new information in.
BURST OUT LAUGHING: start laughing.
GAP: space between two things.
NOD YOUR HEAD: say yes with your heard.

AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPE


I choose this picture from Holand.
I think is a enclosed fields because it have irregular plots separated.
It is polyculture because the land is divided up into small plots.
It is irrigated farming, in Holand rains too much.
This is an extensive agriculture because is a sparsely populated area with lots of land.
